Description
Ultram ER is a medication used to treat moderate to severe chronic pain when treatment is required continually. This medication is an analgesic which works in areas of the brain to decrease pain.
Ultram ER should be stored at 25 degrees C. Temporary storage at 15 – 30 degrees C is allowed if necessary. Keep this medication away from moisture and light. Do not keep Ultram ER in the bathroom or in reach of children or pets.
Some medical conditions such as pregnancy, liver problems, or allergies can interact with Ultram ER. Let your doctor know if you have any medical conditions, and advise them about any other medications that you may be taking.
Ultram ER may cause drowsiness, dizziness or blurred vision. Do not perform hazardous tasks until you are aware of how the medication affects you. Do not take more doses than your doctor prescribed for you. Tell your doctor before having any medical or dental care, or surgery. When used for long periods of time you may develop a physical needs to keep taking it. If you suddenly stop taking Ultram ER you may experience symptoms of withdrawal. Do not suddenly stop taking Ultram ER without consulting you doctor.
Patient Family Information : Always use Ultram ER as precribed by a doctor. Ultram can be taken with out without food, however try to take it the same way each time. Swallow this medication whole – Do not break, crush, or chew Ultram ER before swallowng. If a dose is missed and you are taking Ultram ER tablets regularily, take it as soon as you remember. If it is close to the time of your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue on with your schedule. Do not take more than one dose at a time.
Do not use Ultram ER if you are allergic to any ingredient in the product, if you have had a severe allergic reaction to codeine or other opioids, if you have consumed alcohol or other narcotics, sleeping medicines, or other medicines. Do not use Ultram ER if you have severe liver or Kidney problems or if you are taking another product that contains tramadol.
Sever Side Effects : Severe side effects of Ultram ER: severe allergic reactions, tightness in the chest, swelling of the mouth, face, lips or tongue, agitation, chest pain, difficulty urinating, disorientation, fainting, hallucinations, irregular heartbeat, loss of coordination, loss of mood or mental changes, seizures, severe dizziness or light-headedness.
Common side effects of Ultram ER: constipation, diarrhoea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth, headache, increased sweating, nausea, trouble sleeping, vomiting, weakness.
