If you have been prescribed tablets, your doctor will outline when to take them in your prescription. This medication is often recommended to be taken in small doses daily but may also be administered in larger doses every two weeks. When Procytox is prescribed as an injection, most doctors recommend it to be taken twice a week. If you are to take these injections at home, your doctor will show you how to safely administer your medication. Do not take Procytox if you are allergic to any of the ingredients in this medication. Procytox should additionally not be taken if you: have a kidney or liver dysfunction; have low platelet count; have severely low white blood cell counts; or if you are breastfeeding. If you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant, you should not use this medication.

Common Side Effects: darkening of skin and fingernails; loss of appetite; nausea and vomiting; temporary loss of hair; stomach pain; increased sweating; headache; flushing or facial redness; or diarrhea.
