Lipidil is a medication used to reduce high cholesterol and high triglyceride levels.
Keep at room temperature and protect from moisture and heat.
Before using Lipidil, tell your doctor if you have liver disease, kidney disease, hypothyroidism, or diabetes. Let your doctor know if your are pregnant, planning on becoming pregnant, or if you are breast-feeding. It is unknown whether Lipidil will harm and unborn baby. Nursing mothers should not use Lipidil.
Follow the strict exercise, diet, and weight control plan given to you by your doctor. Avoid the consumption of alcohol as alcohol can increase triglyceride levels and may damage your liver while you are taking Lipidil.
Always follow your doctor’s directions when taking Lipidil. Take Lipidil with a full glass of water. If you are also taking cholestyramine or colestipol, take these medicines at least 1 hour after or 4-6 hours before taking Lipidil.
Avoid the use of Lipidil if you have hepatitis or cirrhosis of the liver, severe kidney disease, or gallbladder disease.
Serious side effects may include: allergic reaction; severe stomach pain; nausea, vomiting; unusual weakness; or fever.
Less severe side effects may include: joint pain; indigestion; bloating or gas; or a rash.
