Kemsol is used to treat symptoms generally associated with a certain bladder problem (interstitial cystitis).
Keep at room temperature and protect from heat, moisture and light.
Before taking Kemsol, tell you doctor if you: are pregnant, planning on becoming pregnant, or are breast-feeding; are taking any prescription or non-prescription medications, herbal preparation, or dietary supplement; if you have any allergies; or if you have cancer of the bladder or urinary tract.
A garlic-like taste may appear shortly after use. The taste may remain for several hours and the garlic odor may remain on the skin or breath for up to 72 hours. Discomfort that is associated with treatments generally lessens after additional treatments. If you have accidentally taken Kemsol by mouth contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Lab tests will be required in order to monitor your progress and check for side effects. Use extreme caution if treating a child with Kemsol as the safety and effectiveness in this age group has not been confirmed.
Generally, Kemsol will be administered to you by your doctor. If you are taking this medication at home, always follow the directions given to you by your doctor.
Avoid the use of Kemsol if you are allergic to any ingredient in Kemsol/ Dimethyl Sulfoxide.
Serious side effects may include: severe allergic reaction; eye pain or burning; or vision changes.
Less severe side effects may include: bladder discomfort; garlic odor on breath or skin for up to 72 hours; garlic taste for several hours.
