Description
Dialyvite is a multivitamin with iron. It is used to treat and prevent vitamin and iron deficiencies caused by pregnancy, illness, poor nutrition, decreased absorption of foods through the stomach, and many other causes.
Store at room temperature. Keep away from moisture, heat, and children.
Before taking Dialyvite, inform your doctor if you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant or breastfeeding; if you are taking prescription or over the counter medication, herbal preparation, or dietary supplements; if you are taking penicillamine (Cuprimine); if you are currently taking a tetracycline antibiotic such as doxycycline (Vibramycin, Monodox), tetracycline (Achromycin, Sumycin), troleandomycin (TAO), demeclocycline (Declomycin), minocycline (Minocin, Dynacin), or oxytetracycline (Terramycin); if you are currently taking levothyroxine (Synthroid, Levoxyl, others); if you are taking levodopa (Larodopa, Dopar, Sinemet); if you are currently taking a fluoroquinolone antibiotic including sparfloxacin (Zagam), enoxacin (Penetrex), trovafloxacin (Trovan), ciprofloxacin (Cipro), ofloxacin (Floxin), grepafloxacin (Raxar), norfloxacin (Noroxin), lomefloxacin (Maxaquin, and levofloxacin (Levaquin); if you are currently taking levodopa (Laradopa, Dopar, Sinemet); and if you are currently
It is important to store Dialyvite away from children under the age of 6 years old because they can accidentally overdose on Dialyvite which can result in fatal poisoning.
Read the directions on the prescription label. Do not take larger doses than prescribed by your doctor. Take this medication as directed on the label or by your pharmacist, doctor, or other healthcare provider. Take Dialyvite with a full glass of water. If taking Dialyvite without food gives you an upset stomach, take it with food.
Do not take more Dialyvite than directed by your doctor.
Severe: Severe allergic reactions including itching, tightness in the chest, rash, hives, difficulty breathing, and swelling of the mouth, lips, tongue or face.
Common: Constipation; black stools; nausea; and discoloration of urine and diarrhea.
