Description
Cleocin is an antibiotic used to fight bacteria and serious bacterial infections.
Store Cleocin at room temperature away from heat and moisture.
Do not combine this medication with erythromycin. If you have kidney or liver disease, an intestinal disorder, or if you a history of asthma or eczema inform your doctor before using this medication. If you are planning on undergoing surgery while using this medication inform your surgeon beforehand that you are using Cleocin.
When using this medication you will be required to have blood tests on a regular basis to ensure the medication is not causing harmful effects.
Take Cleocin exactly as prescribed by your health care provider. Take each dose with a full glass of water. Always use a proper measuring device when taking this medication. This medication is not meant to treat viruses such as colds.
If you have allergies to any ingredients listed on the label of Cleocin or have allergies to lincomycin do not use this medication. Do not combine this medication with erythromycin.
Severe: Watery diarrhea, fever, chills, body pains, flu symptoms; unsettled stomach, stomach ache, slight fever, lack of appetite, dark urine, clay-colored stools, jaundice, infrequent urinating, or sore throat.
Common: mild nausea or stomach pain, vaginal itching or discharge, mild skin rash or itching, or irritation in your throat.
