Description
Carbatrol is used as an anticonvulsant used to alleviate seizures and pain. This medication is also used to treat bipolar disorder.
Store Carbatrol at room temperature away from heat and moisture.
Inform your doctor of any medical conditions and previous allergic reactions or severe side effects experienced from medications. This medication may impair your reactions and thinking. Do not participate in any activities that may require your attention.
If you have any allergies to any drugs inform your doctor before taking this medication to ensure it is right for you. If you have any depressive thoughts or suicidal thoughts well taking this medication immediately inform your doctor. Patients with Asian heritage may be more prone to contracting a rare skin reaction to this medication.
Take this medication exactly as it was prescribed to you by your health care professional. Follow the provided instructions for safe patient use. You may require alterations of your dose of this medication to get the correct dose and optimum results.
If you have a history of bone marrow suppression or are currently taking nefazodone do not use this medication.
